Cindi J. (Schieldge) Potter

Cindi J. Potter, 76, of Mishnock Road, Exeter, RI, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Respiratory & Rehabilitation of RI, Coventry. Born on November 29, 1949, in Manchester, CT, she was the beloved wife of the late John L. Potter and the daughter of the late William C. and Jeannette (Carlson) Schieldge.

Cindi worked as a billing clerk for Miller Box Company in Warwick for thirty-three years before retiring in 2001. She enjoyed camping, roller skating, sewing, and crocheting—pastimes that brought her joy and allowed her to share her creativity with those she loved.

She is survived by her sons, Greg L. Potter and his wife Shia and Eric C. Potter and his significant other Bethany Moorehead; her grandchildren, Zander Potter, Zaiden Potter, Skyy Potter, Violet Potter, and Caleb Thibedeau; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Joyce Clarence, Elaine Hockla, and Robert Taylor.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Gorton–Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. A calling hour will be held prior, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
