Daniel E. “DJ” Houle Jr., aged 41, of King Phillip Road, Coventry, RI, passed away unexpectedly at home on July 7, 2024. He was born on September 4, 1982, in Warwick, RI, the son of Daniel E. Houle Sr. and the late Patricia L. (Stenson) Houle.
Dan dedicated over two decades to his passion as a chef, making his mark at local favorites such as Two Ten Oyster Bar in South Kingstown, RI, Back 40 in North Kingstown, RI, and Black Oak Tavern in Coventry, RI. His culinary talent was matched by his service to his country as a proud US Marine Corps Veteran, serving from 2001 to 2005 during the Iraq War, achieving the rank of Corporal.
Dan is survived by his beloved father, Daniel Houle Sr., and cherished by his sisters, Jessica Pinkham and Shannon Houle, and her husband Justin Price. He will be deeply missed by his nephews, Liam Pinkham and Jack Price, and his niece, Avery Price.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Gorton – Menard Funeral Home, located at 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial services will be private.
