Daniel E. Houle Sr., 75, of King Philip Road, Coventry, RI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Anchor Bay at Greenwich, East Greenwich, RI.
Daniel was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to John (Armand) and Julie (Lozeau) Houle. He grew up surrounded by his loving siblings: Diane Dufresne, Collette Walukevich, Raymond Houle, and Frances Melucci. He pursued his education at Rhode Island College, earning a degree in English, before proudly serving his country as a US Army National Guardsman for many years.
Daniel dedicated forty years of his professional life as a claims specialist at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in West Warwick, RI, retiring in 2020. He and his beloved wife Patricia (Stenson), who passed away in 2010, cherished their travels to the Caribbean, Mexico, and South America. Daniel found immense joy in spending time with his family, especially attending his grandchildren's sporting events. His love and dedication to his family will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his loving children: Jess Pinkham of Burlington, Shannon Houle and her husband Justin Price of Warwick, and Daniel Houle Jr who passed away in 2024. He was the proud "Pepe" of Jack Price, Avery Price, and Liam Pinkham.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Gorton – Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be private.
