Daniel P. Lonergan

Daniel P. Lonergan Sr., 70, of Mishnock Road, West Greenwich, RI, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Kent Hospital, Warwick, RI. Born on June 2, 1954, in Warwick, RI, he was the husband of Patricia A. (DiFranco) Lonergan. They were married forty-four years and together for fifty years. He was the son of the late John and Kathleen (Schnell) Lonergan.

Daniel was a property control officer for the University of Rhode Island, North Kingstown, RI, for twenty-five years before retiring in 2012. He loved working in the yard, gardening, especially growing Dahlia flowers, fishing, camping, canoeing, Cajun and Blue Grass music and Chili Brothers Cajun Food.

Besides his wife Patricia Lonergan, Daniel is survived by a son; Daniel P. Lonergan Jr., a daughter; Juliette Lonergan, four siblings; Steven Lonergan and his wife Diane, Gary Lonergan, Colleen Lautieri and her husband Mike and Kerry Silvia and her husband Tom, and two grandchildren; Vienna and Jaden and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Daniel’s service will be private.
