Denise A. Fredette, 67, of Providence, RI, passed away suddenly at home on February 21, 2026. Born in Providence on February 9, 1959, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Mariorenzi) Fredette.
Denise graduated from Cranston High School East in 1977. Shortly after, she proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1977 to 1979. A lifelong learner with a wide range of interests, she continued her education in Electrical Engineering and later earned a certificate in truck driving, going on to work as a truck driver. Over the years, she also held roles as a security officer, short-order cook, small engine mechanic, and inventory specialist.
Denise lived in Florida for a period of time and made many meaningful connections throughout her life. She loved spending time with her family and friends and will be remembered as a kind soul with a generous heart.
She is survived by her brother, George Fredette, and sister‑in‑law, Susan Fredette, of Cape Coral, Florida; her beloved nephew, Jake Fredette, also of Florida; as well as many cousins and special friends.
She was predeceased by her longtime companion, Ann Alves.
Her services will be private.
