Donald J. Chausse Sr.

Donald J. Chausse Sr., 77, of Wakefield Street, West Warwick, RI, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Kent Hospital, Warwick, RI. Born on January 30, 1944 in Woonsocket, RI, he was the husband of Claudette (Paul) Chausse and the son of the late Hormidas and Rita (Englehart) Chausse.

Donald was a heavy equipment operator for Evergreen Construction, Bellingham, MA for twenty years, a machine operator for Foxboro Company, Foxboro, MA for many years and was also a salesman at Stovepipe Fireplace Shop, Warwick, RI for twelve years before retiring in 2015.

Donald was a US Army Veteran serving in peacetime.

Besides his wife Claudette Chausse he is survived by three children; Barbara Hallas, Donald Chausse Jr. and Thomas “Tommy” Chausse, four brothers; Richard Chausse, Paul Chausse, Albert “Jimmy” Chausse and Anthony “Bo” Chausse, a sister; Carol Saumars, eight grandsons, three great granddaughters, and four great grandsons.

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 11:00 am in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI.
