Dorothy A. (Carpenter) Colvin

Dorothy A. Colvin, 91, of Woodland Avenue, Coventry, RI, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Born in Barrington, RI, on November 8, 1930 she was the wife of the late Elmer “Slim” Colvin and the daughter of the late Harry Lee and Ann (Pannone) Carpenter.

Dorothy was a laborer for various textile mills for many years before retiring in 1972. She enjoyed music, sketching and all her cats. In her youth she was a member the Harmony Twins Band.

Dorothy is survived by a brother; Kenneth Carpenter, a sister; Ruby Austin, a niece Kathy Austin, a nephew; Eric Carpenter, two great nieces; Sheri Scallon and Holly Carpenter and a great nephew; Evan Carpenter.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 1:00 pm in the Rathbun Cemetery, Maple Street, Coventry.
