Dorothy E. (Barbour) Sundelin

Dorothy E. Sundelin, 86, of Fry Pond Road, West Greenwich, RI, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at home. Born on August 15, 1937, in West Warwick, RI, she was the wife of the late William E. Sundelin and the daughter of Clifton and Irene (Beattie) Barbour.

Dorothy was a bank teller for Citizens Bank, Coventry, RI, for twenty-two years before retiring in 1999. Dorothy enjoyed bingo, gardening, shopping with her sister and was active at the Coventry Senior Center.

Dorothy is survived by three children; Michael Sundelin and his wife Lynne, Linda Read and her husband Ron and Cheryl Chamberland and her husband Michael and three grandchildren; Daniel Read, Alllison Chamberland and Adam Chamberland and a great grandson; Jackson Read. She was predeceased by a son; William C. Sundelin, a brother; Harry Barbour and two sisters; Ann Sundelin and Susan Dunbar.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 12:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. An hour of visitation will be held prior from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Burial will be private.
