Elizabeth F. (McCaffrey) Stearns

Elizabeth F. Stearns, 99, of Manchester Circle, Coventry, RI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 18th, 2025, at Kent Hospital in Warwick. Born on December 12th, 1925, in Providence, she was the beloved wife of William E. Stearns for 57 years. She was the biological daughter of the late John E. Boyle and Lillian I. Scallin, and was lovingly raised by her adoptive parents, the late James and Susan (Earley) McCaffrey.

Elizabeth dedicated 16 years of her career as a quality control inspector at Kenney Manufacturing in Warwick, retiring in 1988. Earlier in her working life, she served as a power press operator at Leviton Manufacturing. Known for her vibrant spirit and generous heart, she found much joy in calling bingo for many years at the Coventry Senior Center and was a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

She was a wonderful & caring mother to her three surviving daughters: Michaeleen F. Stearns-Courtney, Susanne D. Stearns, and Patricia L. Parent; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and many cherished nieces and nephews.
