Gail A. Meade, 62, of Lippitt Avenue, Cranston, RI, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI. Born on October 8, 1963, in West Warwick, she was the beloved wife of Michael E. Meade. Married for forty‑one years, Gail and Michael shared a life filled with devotion, humor, and deep companionship. She was cherished by her many colleagues and friends, all of whom felt the warmth of her generous spirit.
She was the daughter of the late Normand J. Ducharme Sr. and Blanche (Peck) Ducharme.
Gail dedicated forty‑six years to Amica Insurance in Lincoln, RI, where she served as an assistant supervisor. Her loyalty, work ethic, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she worked with.
Gail found joy in the simple pleasures that made life meaningful. She loved spending time with her family and her dog, Teddy, tanning by the pool, playing bingo, and visiting Walt Disney World, one of her favorite places. She had the gift of gab and could spend hours catching up with loved ones over the phone. Her holiday cookies were legendary—always the highlight of every celebration.
Besides her husband Michael, she is survived by her siblings Bruce Lawing, Gloria Law, Connie Kosh, and Norman Ducharme Jr.; her nieces Kali Kosh, Kyra Kosh, Ashley McGovern, Jessica Vardeman and Nicole Lemieux; and nephews Justin Ducharme, Robert Meade III and Glen Meade Jr. She was predeceased by her brothers Rex Lawing and Stephen Lawing.
