Gary W. Deitrick

Gary W. Deitrick, 89, of Kingstown Road, Wakefield, RI, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Scallop Shell Nursing Home, Wakefield, RI. Born on March 2, 1933, in Barksdale Field, LA, he was the husband of the late Carol Ann (Cote) Deitrick and the son of the late Beecher A. and Mary L. (Davis) Deitrick.

Gary was a policeman for T. F. Green Airport for thirteen years before retiring in 1979. Prior to that he was a policeman for the University of Rhode Island, Wakefield, RI, for ten years. He was a US Marine Corps veteran serving two terms in the Vietnam War retiring after twenty years of service.

Gary is survived by two sons; Thomas H. Deitrick and Michael Deitrick, two daughters; Deborah A. Deitrick and Kimberly M. Lofgren, four granddaughters and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son; Donald G. Deitrick and a brother; Donald Deitrick.
