Gary M. Robichaud

Gary M. Robichaud, 76 of Coventry, RI, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026. Born on February 7, 1949 in Fitchburg, MA he was the husband of Nancy (Hammontree) Robichaud. They were married for fifty-six years. He was the son of the late Louis and Theresa (Leblanc) Robichaud.

Gary worked for the State of Rhode Island for thirty-one years, where he walked the toughest beat in the state, before retiring in 2003. He loved his family. During his life he enjoyed playing semi fast and slow pitch softball, coaching as well as many other sports. He was an avid sports fan especially the New England teams. Gary was a faithful blood donor throughout his life. He was a member of Club Frontenac and also belonged to the RI Cribbage Association.

Besides his wife Nancy, he is survived by his children Gary Robichaud (Cathy Ellis & family) and Todd Robichaud (wife Kerri). His siblings Wayne “Robb” Robichaud, Kenneth Robichaud, Elaine Silliker, Joanne Atkinson, Michele Riordan, grandchildren James, Morgan (fiancee Nick Morel), Aidan, Tyler, Giada, and Mitchell Robichaud and also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Richard Robichaud.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 11:00 to 1:00 pm with a service to follow at 1:00 pm in the Gorton – Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be private.
