Gloria Evonne Tetu beloved wife of Edward John Tetu, who were married for thirty years, passed away at home under his watchful care. Gloria “Peaches” leaves behind her feline family of Cinnamon, Annie, and Spyce and her loving protective chihuahuas Tiffany, Phobe, and Foxy. Peaches loved animals deeply. If she had room, she would take in any stray cat she found and for those she couldn’t take in, she would bring them to the Pet Refuge where she volunteered. Peaches received an associate’s degree in business administration from CCRI but her true calling was her creativity. She was a talented artist using watercolors, pastels, and colored pencils that her adoring husband hung proudly about the house. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting, her chihuahuas never went without a warm afghan to snuggle with.
Peaches took pride in her home. In the warm months she could be found working in her garden, planting flowers or just being outside in nature. When the weather turned cold and she couldn’t get out in her garden, she was an avid gamer, her favorites were World of Warcraft and Sea of Thieves. She also enjoyed cooking, taking old recipes passed down from her mother or experimenting with new ones to come up with delicious meals.
Expanding on her Baptist upbringing that her mother instilled in her, she became a member of Faith Baptist Church where she found peace and comfort there in teachings.
Peaches also leaves behind her brother, Norman Verrier, his wife Jennifer and her nephew Jake. She was preceded by her mother Gloria (Major) Verrier.
Gloria's services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pet Refuge in North Kingston, RI can be made in Gloria’s memory.
