Hugh Macnaughton

Hugh Macnaughton, 78, of South County Trail, East Greenwich, RI, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at home. Born on July 19, 1943, in Pointe-A-Pierre, Trinidad, he was the son of the late Henry and Cynthia (Swan) Macnaughton-Jones.

Hugh was an oil trader in the energy industry for forty-five years before retiring in 2011. He had a passion for sailing, the ocean, politics, and tomato gardening. His greatest joy in life was watching his family grow.

Hugh is survived by four children; Andrew Macnaughton, Brandon Macnaughton, Jillian Macnaughton and Heather Macnaughton, a brother; Robert Macnaughton-Jones, a sister; Sheelagh De Osuna, two grandchildren; Jackson Macnaughton and Morgan Macnaughton and his furry companion; Felix.
