Ida H. (Souza) Bouchard

Ida H. Bouchard, 101, of Coventry Drive, Coventry, RI, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, at home. Born on March 23, 1923, in Providence, RI, she was the wife of the late Russell E. Bouchard Sr. and the daughter of the late Manuel and Virginia (Perry) Souza.

Ida was a homemaker to her loving family. She enjoyed needlepoint, reading and gardening.

Ida is survived by six children: Virginia MacCoy, Barbara Koski, Paula Bouchard, Denise MacCoy, Russell Bouchard Jr. and Christopher Bouchard, fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters: Virginia Morreira and Agnes Bateson.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 11:00 am in the Gorton – Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or Beacon Hospice, Amedisys Foundation, 3854 American Way, Suite A, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
