John H. Goff

John H. Goff, 63, of Caporal Street, Cranston, RI, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at home. Born on October 31, 1957 in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late John and Lois (DiSandro) Goff.

John was a security officer for twelve years for RIBI Security, Providence, RI. He was also the owner / operator of John H. Goff Registers.

John was a graduate of Cranston East High School. He was an accomplished guitarist and vocalist who played in many well-known bands in Rhode Island and Massachusetts venues up until the start of the pandemic. In addition to his musical talent, John also had a passion for oil painting, creating an art studio in his home with a vast array of seascapes, landscapes, and portraits. John was the quintessential nice guy, compassionate and kind, and a pleasure to be around.

John is survived by two sons; Eric J. Goff and Nicholas Goff, two step daughters; Jessica Hummel and Christina Hummel, two brothers; David Goff and his wife Lori Fortune and Richard Goff and his wife Jennifer, a grandson; Cameron Silva, an aunt Paula Domenico and his former wife Tamara Goff.

John’s services will be held on Saturday April 24, 2021 at 1:00 pm outside of the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be private.
