John L. Potter

John L. Potter, 72, of Mishnock Road, West Greenwich, RI, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020, at Kent Hospital, Warwick, RI. Born on December 25, 1947, in Providence, RI, he was the husband of Cindi (Schieldge) Potter. They were married for fifty-one years. John was the son of the late Louis and Florence (Peters) Potter.

John was a grinder for General Dynamics Electric Boat for thirty-two years before retiring in 2004. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War.

Besides his wife Cindi, John is survived by two sons; Greg L. Potter and his wife Shia and Eric C. Potter and his partner Bethany, a brother; William R. Potter and his wife Paula and a sister; Audrey A. Wozniak and her husband Mark and four grandchildren; Zander, Zaiden, Skyy and Violet.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at 11:00 am in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. A calling hour will be held prior from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Burial with US Military Honors will be held in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
