John Jack Roll

John Jack Roll, 66, of Deborah Avenue, Coventry, RI, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, unexpectedly. Born on April 8, 1956, in Belleville, Illinois. John was the beloved husband, best friend, and one and only love of Theresa A. (Scully) Roll. They shared forty-one years of marriage together. He was the son of the late Jack and Iva (Franklin) Roll.

John was a US Navy Veteran stationed in Boston, MA during the Vietnam war, a clerk for the US Postal Service for 21 years before retiring in 1996 and also a custodian for the Pawtucket School District. He was also a long-time member of the DAV (Disabled American Veterans). John had a huge passion for music, and he inspired his children to have the same great taste. He also loved to manicure his yard and make it something magical, especially his vine garden. He always made sure that his children and grandchildren had his undivided attention and their own special time.

Besides his wife Theresa Roll, John is survived by three children; Derek Roll and his wife Michelle, Jared Roll and his wife Morgan and Kayla Roll, three siblings; Roy Roll and wife Cindy, Charles Roll and wife Cathy and Nancy Lambert and husband Mike, three grandchildren; McKenzie Roll, Jameson Roll and Logan Brzoza and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister; Deborah Roll.

A funeral service with US Military Honors will be held on Thursday, July 7th, 2022, for 11:30am at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI. (Please arrive at 11:20am and park in line, in order of arrival just past the main administration building.)
