John J. Silva

John J. Silva, 82, of Maple Avenue, West Warwick, RI, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at home. Born in West Warwick, RI, on January 25, 1940, he was the son of the late Manuel and Cecilia (Cardosa) Silva.

John was a laborer working in the shipping and receiving department for Riverpoint Lace Works at Lippitt Mills for over thirty years before retiring in 2005. John enjoyed listening to music and also marching in the West Warwick Independence Band.

John is survived by a brother; Anthony Silva and his wife Joyce and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his siblings; Arthur Silva, Francisco Silva, Raymond Silva, David Silva, Joventina Moniz and Leopoldina “Pearl” Gagnon.

John’s services will be private.
