Obituary
Joyce A. Sheldon, 85, of Cahoone Road, Greene, RI, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at home. Born on June 14, 1937, in Warwick, RI, she was the wife of Harold P. Sheldon. They were married for twenty-eight years. She was the daughter of the late Allan B. and Evelyn M. (Matthewson) Amadon.
Joyce was a clerk for Blue Cross / Blue Shield of RI for thirty-five years before retiring in 1996. She enjoyed traveling, sewing and baking.
Besides her husband Harold Sheldon, she is survived by a niece, three nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister; Elaine M. Halligan.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 6:00 pm in the Gorton – Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be held prior from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Burial will be private.
