Judith I. (Frenette) Roch

Judith I. Roch, 84, of Wakefield Street, West Warwick, RI, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Kent Hospital, Warwick, RI. Born on July 17, 1939, in Coventry, RI, she was the wife of Joseph Denis Roch. The were married for sixty-six years. She was the daughter of the late Ernest J. and Thelma F. (Gardner) Frenette.

Judith was a bookkeeper for St. James Church, West Warwick, RI, for twenty-six years before retiring in 1999. Judith enjoyed doing genealogy for many years. She was a volunteer usher for Providence Performance Art Center, Providence, RI, former treasurer of the Pawtuxet Valley Preservation Historical Society, Past President of St. James Mother’s Club, Member of the Parish Council at Christ the King Parish, West Warwick, RI, and was an assistant Girl Scout Leader. She held several offices for the Whirlaway Square Dance Club and was also active with the RI Federation of Square and Round Dance Club of Rhode Island.

Besides her husband Denis Roch, Judith is survived by four children: Suzanne M. Roch and her husband Michael, Patricia L. Joubert and her husband David, Michael D. Roch and his wife Shannon and Dianne J. Vaughn and her husband Bobby, a sister; Elaine F. Rocco, six grandchildren; Alyson A. Roch, McKenzie L. Beauchaine, Carylanne E. Joubert Maier and her husband Joey, Melodie Rose E. Joubert, Craig J. Wathen and his wife Alycia, Kevin M. Wathen and his wife Chelsey, three great grandchildren; Leonard Cannon, Jeremiah Joseph Beauchaine, Illyana Wathen, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother; Roland G. Frenette and a great grandson; Kendrick W. Wright.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 10:00 am in the St. Joseph’s Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick, RI. Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the Gorton - Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be in the Greenwood Burial Grounds Cemetery, Coventry, RI.
