LaVerne Schroder

LaVerne Schroder, 88, of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, formerly of Manahawkin and Bloomfield NJ passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021. LaVerne graduated from Bloomfield High School and was a lifelong resident of Bloomfield before retiring to Manahawkin and then moving to Rhode Island 4 years ago. LaVerne is survived by her loving son Robert David Jr. & wife Deborah of RI, and daughter Diane & husband John Bragg of Los Angeles. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren – Kelley, Kimberly, Ryan and Jennifer – and 2 great-grandchildren, Xavier and Alexandra. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Robert D. Schroder Sr. and her grandson James. LaVerne worked for many years as a school aide in the Bloomfield Public Schools.

Visitation, Wednesday, March 10, 4-8 PM Van Tassel Funeral Home, 337 Belleville Ave, Bloomfield NJ. Funeral Mass, Thursday, March 11, 10:30 AM, Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield followed by interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
