Lowell L. Cote

Lowell L. Cote, 90, of Belvedere Street, Johnston, RI, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at HopeHealth Hospice Care, Providence, RI. Born on January 10, 1936, in Providence, RI he was the beloved husband of the late Joan L. (Nightingale) Cote and son of the late Joseph I. and Josephine E. (Payne) Cote.

Mr. Cote worked in the chemical industry for thirty-seven years, thirteen years for ICI Organics Inc., Providence and twenty-four years for Hoechst Celanese Corp. (formerly the American Hoechst Corp), Coventry. He was a former member of the Anthony PNA, Lodge 1001, Coventry.

Lowell is survived by three children Steven Cote, Douglas Cote and Barry Cote, three stepchildren Kathleen Robins, Kenneth McLaughlin and Linda Wilson, eight grandchildren, eight-step grandchildren, two-step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a former wife Diana (Arslamian) Cote, a son Jeffrey A. Cote and a brother Everette Cote.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 3:00 pm in the Gorton – Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. A calling hour will be held prior from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Burial will be private.
