Mary Jane (Misunas) McAdam

Mary Jane McAdam, 81, of Wakefield Street, West Warwick, RI, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Hope Health Hospice and Palliative Care, Providence, RI. Born on December 5, 1941, in Providence, RI, she was the wife of the late Alan R. McAdam and the daughter of the late Anthony A. Sr. and Louise M. (Blackburn) Misunas.

Jane was employed as a baker at Sailor’s Grill, Pensacola, FL for over twenty years before retiring in 2018. She was a graduate of Warwick Veterans Memorial High School, Warwick, RI, class of 1959. Jane moved back to Rhode Island to be with her family.  She enjoyed painting and other crafts; she loved picture puzzles and crossword puzzles. She also loved to bake desserts for her family and friends.  Janie was interested in her ancestry and kept notes on all she could find on her ancestors and family members.  Jane joined a bowling team and enjoyed that sport for many years. She was friendly and outgoing and knew several of her neighbors in the apartment building by name.  She was kind and generous and never forgot anyone’s birthday with a card or message.

Jane is survived by two brothers; Anthony A. Misunas Jr. and his wife Suzanne; and John Misunas and his wife Paula, and a sister; Cynthia Misunas.  She left five nieces and two nephews and two great nephews and five great nieces.
