Mary A. Sparks, 68, of Carley Drive, Coventry, RI, and formerly of Chalmers Street in Springfield, MA, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice in Providence, RI surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Springfield on February 28, 1952 the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Forgue) McClellan, she resided in Springfield for 56 years before moving to RI for the past 12.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gerard C. Sparks and her three sons; Christopher Sparks and his wife Leah of Bethel, ME., Michael Sparks and his wife Meghann of South Kingstown, RI and Kevin Sparks of Lewisburg PA, a brother; William McClellan who she was extremely close with and seven grandchildren; Keenan, Cuyler, Ruby, Christopher, Michael, McKenna and Mary.
Mary was a Petition Clerk for the City of Springfield for close to 15 years before retiring in 2008.
Mary’s main passion was her children and grandchildren but she also enjoyed the beautiful RI beaches, watching her grandchildren's various sporting events, spending time with her loving brother, swimming and playing Keno.
