Michael K. Danielson

Michael K. Danielson, 63, of Coventry, RI, passed away on July 27th, 2024. Born on October 5, 1960, in Warwick, RI, he was the son of Charlotte (Coutu) Danielson and the late Theodore Danielson.

Michael grew up in West Warwick and graduated from West Warwick High School where he excelled in sports. Michael then studied at the University of Rhode Island, in North Kingston, RI, where he double majored and earned two Bachelor's of Science degrees: one in Computer Science and one in Applied Mathematics. Michael was a senior systems engineer as a subcontractor for the US Navy.

As a father, Michael continued his love for athletics by coaching his daughters through various sports and activities over the years. He had a great love of music which he also shared with his daughters. Michael was an avid reader, with many interests including health and nutrition. Michael took pride in working hard and supporting his family. He had a kind heart and a beautiful sense of humor which will be missed by all. 

Besides his mother Charlotte Danielson, Michael is survived by three children; Erika Danielson, Samantha Danielson and Alyssa Danielson, two siblings; Mark Danielson and Marie Danielson. He was predeceased by a sister, Michelle Danielson.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 12:00 (noon) from the Gorton – Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. A visitation will be held prior from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Coventry, RI.
