Norman F. “Pep” Blais, 67, of Tiogue Avenue, Coventry, RI, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at home. Born on September 26, 1955, in Warwick, RI, he was the husband of Linda N. (Bertholdt) Blais. They were married for thirty-seven years. He was the son of the late Paul J. and Yola M. (Perreault) Blais.
Norman was a ship fitter for Electric Boat, North Kingstown, RI, for many years before retiring in 2019. Prior to that he was a mill worker for Home Depot, Warwick, RI. Norman enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking and fireworks. He was also known to have had the loudest boom in the neighborhood. He also enjoyed playing cards in the Monday night league at the Coventry PNA and treasured the time he spent with his family and friends.
Besides his wife Linda Blais, Norman is survived by two sons; Dennis T. Agin and his wife Shannon, Jacob J. Blais and his wife Katie, a daughter; Brea M. Carson and her husband Kyle and six grandchildren; Summer, Kadence, Kenzie, Clayton, Brooke and Brayden. He was predeceased by two brothers; Robert P. Blais and Donald A. Blais.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 7:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be held prior from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the JPCA fireworks display.
