Norman K. Greene, 82, of South Main Street, Coventry, RI, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Kent Hospital, Warwick, RI. Born on June 3, 1938 in West Greenwich, RI, he was the husband of the late Nancy (Matteson) and the son of the late Carroll and Maude (Carsten) Greene.
Norman was the owner and operator of Matteson Services Station, Coventry, RI, for over thirty years before retiring in 2000. Norman was a US Air Force veteran serving in peacetime. He was an avid horseshoe player and cribbage player.
Norman is survived by a son; Kenneth Greene and his wife Maria, two brothers; Russell Greene and Herbert Greene, a sister; Margaret Levesque and two grandchildren; Elijah and Veronica. He was predeceased by three brothers; Harold Greene, George Greene and Edwin Greene and a sister; Bernice Lamont.
Norman’s services will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be made to the American Heart Association.
