Raymond A. Deming

Raymond A. Deming, 89, of Seneca Avenue, Oneida, NY, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Wynn Hospital, Utica, NY. Born on August 5, 1935, in Westerly, RI, he was the husband of Lorraine N. (Masse) Deming. They were married for sixty-five years. He was the son of the late Charles and Violet (Howard) Deming.

Raymond was a sheet metal technician for General Dynamics Electric Boat, North Kingstown, RI, for thirteen years before retiring in 1997. He was a US Army Veteran serving from 1955 to 1958.

Besides his wife Lorraine Deming, Raymond is survived by three children; Sandra Healey, Raymond Deming and Susan Morin, three sisters; Myrtle Charette, Dorothy Moone, and Nancy Dunne and six grandchildren; Ryan Healey and his wife Amanda, Nathan Morin, Matthew Healey, Stephen Deming, Cameron Morin and Kevin Deming. Raymond was predeceased by four siblings; Charles Deming Jr, Walter Deming, Jerome Deming and Virginia Fitzgerald 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 12:00 noon in the Gorton – Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be held prior from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Burial with US Military Honors will be held afterward in the RI Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI.
