Robert A. Arnold, 90, of Big Crane Loop, Port Orange, FL, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Harbor Chase of Daytona in Daytona Beach, FL. Born on December 29, 1935, in Erie, PA, he was the husband of the late Joan M. (Nadeau) Arnold and the son of the late William and Viola (Jordan) Arnold.
Robert worked as an auditor for the Quonset Point Naval Air Station in North Kingstown, RI, dedicating thirty‑three years to his career before retiring in 1993. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served during peacetime. He enjoyed spending time with his family, was an avid bingo player, loved playing cards, and was a devoted sports fan—especially of boxing.
He is survived by his son, Robert W. Arnold and his wife Sherri; his grandchildren, Matthew Arnold and his wife Christine, and Eric Arnold; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, George Arnold, Donald Arnold, and William Arnold.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Gorton–Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be private.
