Robert D. Mathias

Robert D. Mathias, 74, of Maple Avenue, West Warwick, Rhode Island, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026, at Kent Hospital in Warwick. Born on December 9, 1951, in Warwick, he was the son of the late Samuel Sr. and Eva (Leavitt) Mathias.

Mr. Mathias worked for many years as a self‑employed handyman within the automotive and boating industries before retiring. He was known for his strong work ethic and practical skill, as well as for the enjoyment he found in quahogging, cooking, and playing cards.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Samuel, Billy, Donald, Frederick, Arthur, Janet, Sandra, and Laurie Mathias.
