Rosemary R. (Roche) Hobson

Rosemary R. Hobson, 86, of Main Street, Coventry, RI, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the home of her son in Warwick, RI. Born on June 14, 1938, in Providence, RI, she was the wife of the late Kenneth Hobson and the daughter of the late George Sr. and Lillian (Mulligan) Roche.

Rosemary was a schoolteacher for the South Kingstown School Department for ten years before retiring in 1985. She enjoyed gardening and was a political activist. She was also a member of the Audubon Society.

Rosemary is survived by two sons; Thomas Hobson and his wife Kelly and Andrew Hobson and his wife Karen and a brother; G. Kevin Roche Jr. She was predeceased by a daughter; Sheila Hobson and a sister; Nancy Sotomayor.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Gorton – Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. A calling hour will be held prior from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Coventry, RI.
