Samuel E. White

Samuel E. White, 86, of Mulhearn Drive, Coventry, RI, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Hope Health Hospice & Palliative Care, Providence, RI. Born on November 27, 1936, he was the husband of Anna M. (Todd) White. They were married for thirty-six years. He was the son of the late George Sr. and Mary (Worthington) White.

Samuel was an auto mechanic and RI State Inspector for many Ford Dealerships for fifty years until retiring in 1985. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam Era. He was also the founding member and first president of RI Steel Guitar Association and also the New England Guitar Association. He was also a member of the American Legion Association, East Greenwich, RI, and Associate Member of the Rhode Island State Police. Samuel also enjoyed racing cars at Seekonk Speedway, Seekonk, MA.

Besides his wife Anna M. White, he is survived by a son; Robert White Jr., two daughters; Ann Neu and Nichole Darling, a sister; Myrtle Gardner, five grandchildren; Donna Neu, Vincent Perez, Joshua Matthews, Savannah Bailey and Michayla Darling and two great grandchildren; Robert White III and Isabella Matthews. He was predeceased by three brothers; George White, Charles White and Al White and a sister; Marylou Kieffer.

A memorial service with US Military Honors will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 11:00 am in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail Exeter, RI.
