Shirley A. (Kettelle) Barbour

Shirley A. Barbour, 89, of Fry Pond Road, West Greenwich, RI, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Alpine Nursing Home in Coventry, RI. Born on July 26, 1936, in East Greenwich, she was the wife of the late Harry Barbour and the daughter of the late Clifford and Mary (Moriarty) Kettelle.

Shirley worked as a cashier for Benny’s Department Store for many years, and later continued her career at the Candle Snuffer. She enjoyed spending time with her family and had a special passion for collecting antique lamps.

She is survived by her children, Sharon S. Laplume (Robert) and Beth E. Langlais (Bernard); her brother, Donald Kettelle; her grandchildren, Mark Laplume (Cindy), Jillian Lavoie (Matthew), and Matthew Langlais (Taylor); five great‑grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley’s service will be private.
