Shirley M. Frazier, 100, of Main Street, Coventry, RI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Riverview Healthcare Community. Born in Providence on July 2, 1925, she was the beloved wife of the late Franklin B. Frazier Sr. and the daughter of the late Frank “Fritz” and Mary (Steele) Sundin.
Shirley was an accomplished artist and the proud owner and operator of Fisherman’s Gallery in Galilee and the Wickford Art Gallery. Beyond the canvas, she was a skilled antique dealer who took immense pride in the art of restoring and refinishing furniture. Known for her impeccable sense of style, she loved entertaining—especially with her famous Swedish buffet. She found joy in painting, decorating, and spending time with her family. Shirley was also a former member of the Wickford Art Association.
She is survived by her children Susan C. Fadden, Linda L. Vlachos and Franklin B. Frazier Jr. (Robin); her grandchildren Kimberly Paiva (Edward), Lisa Tatko (Peter), Laurie Whitehead, Christa Rathbun (Ernie), and Jacob Frazier; and her great‑grandchildren Sydney, Carina, and Ian Paiva, Justin and Ryan Kuncio, Matthew Whitehead, Ashley Ackert‑Titherington, Chloe Ackert, Logan and Wyatt Rathbun, and Thomas Frazier. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Roger Sundin Sr., and her grandson, Kirk Fadden.
Shirley’s service will be private. Family and friends may share memories and condolences at www.gortonmenardfuneralhome.com.
