Sonia (Wood) Stroud

Sonia Stroud, 88, of Coventry, RI, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020.  Born on October 7, 1931, in North Kingstown, RI, she was the wife of the late Robert Stroud and the daughter of the late Wallace and Lena (Rice) Wood.  

Her family would like to express a sincere thank you to the wonderful staff at Alpine Nursing Home for all their care. Sonia was well-loved and will be missed.

Sonia was a winder for Coventry Narrow Fabrics, Coventry, RI, for twenty-five years until retiring in 1993.

Sonia is survived by a son; Barry Stroud and his wife Dixie, two daughters; Vickie Rossi and her husband Michael and Sharon DelPadre, a brother; George Wood, four grandchildren; Angela James, Rachael Rossi, Kristin Kvasnyuk and Thomas Rossi and a great-grandson; Sebastian. She was predeceased by a brother; Frederick Wood.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020, at 4:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be private.
