Stanley M. Vacha, 83, of Hopkins Hill Road, Coventry, RI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at HomeHealth RI, Providence, RI. Born on June 22, 1938 in Elizabeth, NJ, he was the son of the late Stanley and Emma (Klimo) Vacha.
Stanley was a station agent for United Airlines, Warwick, RI, for thirty-five years before retiring in 2003. He was a US Navy Veteran and was a plank owner of the USS Ranger Aircraft Carrier. He also served on two Westpac deployments while on the USS Ranger.
Stanley is survived by a son; Russell Vacha and a daughter; Patricia “Trinkey” Raposa, four grandchildren; Jonathan ‘the Admiral’ Vacha, Matthew ‘the Captain’ Vacha, Cody ‘the Commander’ Raposa and his fiance Brittany 'the Brat' Paquin, and Jacob ‘the Lieutenant’ Raposa, a great-granddaughter; Avery ‘the Hottie’ Raposa and his former wife Barbara Vacha. He was predeceased by a sister; Kathleen Thomas.
