Stephen D. Reed

Stephen D. Reed, 74, of Glenrock Road, West Kingston, RI, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at South County Hospital, Wakefield, RI. Born on March 31, 1947, he was the husband of Kathryn C. (Stedman) Reed. They were married for fifty-five years. He was the son of the late Morris C. and Ellen L. (Johnstone) Reed.

Stephen was a carpenter for Clarke Construction, Stonington, CT, for twenty years before retiring in 2014. He was a member of Exeter Chapel, Exeter, RI.

Besides his wife Kathryn Reed, he is survived by three sons: S. Brett Reed, Richard R. Reed and Eric J. Reed, fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers; James Reed, Robert Reed and David Reed and a sister; Carol Tew.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 8 at 11:00 am in the Exeter Chapel, 765 Ten Rod Road, Exeter, RI. Burial will be private.
