Wallace F. Cook, Jr., 89, of Woodland Drive, Coventry, RI, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Respiratory and Rehab Center of RI, Coventry, RI. Born on May 17, 1930 in Augusta, ME, he was the husband of the late Angela (Harris) Cook. They were married for fifty-three years. He was the son of the late Wallace F. Sr. and Gladys (Berry) Cook.
Wallace was a bus driver and supervisor for Hampden School District for many years before retiring. Prior to that, he was a truck driver for Merrill Transport, Bangor, ME most of his career. He enjoyed restoring antique tractors and participated in tractor pulls at many county fairs. He also won numerous awards at bus rodeos. In addition he was a long time and loyal member of Aerie #3177 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Brewer, ME, and was past state President.
Wallace is survived by three children; Diane J. Cook and her spouse Marilyn Hines, Wallace F. Cook III and his wife Brenda and Pamela J. Coulter, six grandchildren; Beth Coulter, Rodney Coulter and Delilah Moleon, Madison Cook-Hines, Devlin Cook-Hines and Harris Cook-Hines and a great grandchild; Brantley Ayer. He was predeceased by a son; Wayne F. Cook, a brother; Lawrence Cook and two sisters; Madelyn Libby and Isabel Smith.
