Wendell F. Descoteaux

Wendell F. Descoteaux, 88, of Woodland Drive, Coventry, RI, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025 at Kent Hospital, Warwick, RI. Born on May 11, 1936, in Providence, RI, he was the husband of the late Janet (Nickey) Descoteaux and the son of the late Arthur and Angelina M. (Larocque) Descoteaux.

Wendell was the owner and operator of the Brass Rail Bar, Providence, RI, for many years. He was a member of the VFW Post 9404, Coventry, RI. In his early thirties Wendell auditioned for the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

Wendell is survived by a son; Donald J. Descoteaux, a brother; Arthur Descoteux, two grandchildren; Donald Descoteaux Jr. and Elizabeth Descoteaux and five great grandchildren.

Wendell’s service will be private.
