Born in 1964, Alfred grew up in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He attended Mount Saint Charles Academy and graduated in 1982 before attending New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences for Funeral Directing Service. Al is a third-generation funeral director and has more than 26 years experience as a funeral director and embalmer. He is the owner of and a Licensed Funeral Director/Registered Embalmer at Gorton-Menard Funeral Home. He also owns and operates the Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home in Westerly, Rhode Island and recently opened the new Serenity Cremation Center, in Coventry - a crematory that offers a Family Gathering and Witness Room for those who would like to hold small memorial gatherings or participate in the process. He is also a Certified Cremationist. Al is a Committee Member on the Board of the Pawtuxet Valley Chamber of Commerce and is also a Member of the Pawtuxet Valley Preservation and Historical Society. He and his wife, Laura Wistow-Menard, have a son, Alfred Max Menard.

Born in 1958, Steven grew up in West Warwick, Rhode Island. He attended West Warwick High School and graduated in 1978 before attending New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences for Funeral Directing Service. He serves on the Mary Doran Council and is a communicant of St. Mary's Church. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus. Steven has more than 28 years experience working as a funeral director within the Kent County area and remains deeply committed to community work and activities in and around town. He is the Manager, as well as a Licensed Funeral Director/Registered Embalmer and Certified Cremationist for Gorton-Menard Funeral Home. Steven has a daughter, Tiffany.
