Anthony J. Botello, Jr.

Anthony “Slim” Joseph Botello, Jr., 73, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Kent Hospital, in Warwick, RI. Born in Providence, RI he was the husband of Ann (Farrar) Botello. They were married for forty-eight years. He was the son of the late Anthony J. Sr., and Rose (Russo) Botello.

Anthony was an inspector for General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT for thirty-seven years until retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Pine Tree Gun Club, in Foster, RI and Spanish Lakes Tennis & Bocce Club, in Fort Pierce, FL.

Besides his wife he is survived by three children: Kristen A. Murphy and her husband Daniel, Robin L. Roberts and her husband Brian R. and Todd A. Botello, a sister; Barbara Lapinsky, seven grandchildren; Evan A. Murphy, James A. Roberts, Jacob B. Roberts, Haylee A. Roberts, Daniel J. Murphy, III, Ryan W. Murphy and Matthew S. Corbin, two nephews; Wade Carson and Brian Turgeon and a niece; Carrie Lawrence.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be held prior from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Burial will be in the St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Greenwich, RI.
