To the Gendron family I am so sorry for your loss. Joe was a great father, a great gramps, a great friend and a great husband an all round great guy. You will be missed my friend, but it brings me great joy that you are now reunited with your Deborah. Til we meet again

We are very sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. We pray that you can get consolation from The Holy Scriptures which contain words of comfort and hope. Psalms 34:18 reads: "Jehovah (Yahweh) is close to the broken-hearted, he saves those crushed in spirit". May the God of all comfort, soothe your hearts with his loving care.
Sincerely, Maggie Catalano/www.jw.org

There truly are no words to comfort family when such a loss is felt. Everyone’s kind condolences may seem to blur one unto the next. And while at this moment you may feel lost and maybe even scared be assured that a soul as sweet as Joe’s hasn’t ended, it endures. A man with such life force who touched so many does not wither into oblivion… NO. His legacy will live on through you his children and in the memory and hearts of all those he made smile, laugh and feel welcomed. I can’t help but smile now remembering his voice and his telling of a joke and I am warmed by that. I wish for you the same. To one day no longer feel the pain of loss but the love and warmth in remembrances.

Joe will be sadly missed by family, friends, co-workers & all that he coached throughout his life. We won a championship with Joe as our CYO coach at St John the Baptist in West Warwick, RI in 1970. Norm Maynard, Robert Carroll, Briand LaCroix, Marc Sauvageau, Thomas Joyal, Rick LaCroix and the bench warmers. He taught us teamwork and all the zone defenses very well! He used to drive us around in his Ford Mustang after practice & show us off. What a great guy and personality. We'll play some hoop again in Heaven some day, Joe. God Bless your family and friends through this hard time...

So sorry to hear of Joe's passing. We grew up together in WW. I remember when he bought his Mustang. We always used to walk to school together. What a great guy we had so much fun grow up together. I remember when his father sold eggs. I feel terrible I missed his calling hours. God bless and he may Rest in Peace. BROTHER

I had absolutely no idea Joe had passed away. He was a key figure in bringing sports into my life. I was extremely shy and had never really played competitive sports. Under his great coaching he brought out the very best in me. He coached us to a CYO Midget basketball championship that I will never forget. Because of his ability to teach, we went on to many winning seasons after that. He also coached us one year in softball and we finished 15-1.

Joe used to pile many of us (I'm not kidding when I say many) into his Mustang Mach 1 and give us rides back and forth from games. He was a CYO adviser. He molded a competitive spirit in me I never lost. I will look forward to seeing him again some day. He was a great man.
