Stephen M. Harper, 59, of Laurel Avenue, Coventry, RI, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. Born on February 3,1963 in Warwick, RI, he was the husband of Sheila A. (Fiore) Harper. They were married for seven wonderful years. He was the son of the late Joseph W. II and Marjorie (Rafferty) Harper.
Stephen was a press operator for 14 years at Demaich Industries, Johnston, RI and a maintenance person for 14 years at Baffoni's Poultry Farm, Johnston, RI. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his four dogs, Beanie, Brandie, Maddie, and Queenie. He enjoyed dancing in the kitchen with his wife, gardening, canning, camping, darts and hockey.
Besides his wife Sheila A. Harper he is survived by his children; Jessica Hoxsie and her husband Michael and James E. “JT” Green III, a sister; Jean Harper and a brother, Thomas Harper and his wife Donna, and his grandson Cylus Hoxsie, (he was so proud to be called Grampy), and many nieces and nephews, and his mother-in-law Barbara Cournoyer.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 4:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will be held prior from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Burial will be private.
