Robert L. Carlson, Sr., 80, of 62 Roberts Street, West Warwick, RI, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI. Born in West Warwick, he was the son of the late Ernest P. and Lillian (Dyer) Carlson.
Robert served in the US Army during the Korean War and worked in maintenance for various facilities until his retirement.
He is survived by a son; Robert L. Carlson, Jr. a granddaughter; Krystine A. Carlson, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son; Daniel G. Carlson, and five brothers; Raymond, Ernest, Kenneth, Francis and Edwin Carlson.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 6:00 pm at the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours will take place prior - from 4:00-6:00 pm. Burial will be private.
