Pajak, Helen Beatrice, 87, of Coventry, RI died peacefully on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 10th, 2015. She was the wife of Tadeusz "Ted" Pajak to whom she was married for 60 years. Born in West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Lemay) Duchesneau.
Helen was an avid and award winning artist. She loved the outdoors and traveling. She and her husband enjoyed many retirement years wintering in Florida along with taking numerous cruises and vacations. Helen applied her art talent as an artist / designer for the Geo E. Mousley Co. in West Warwick. She was also a master re-toucher for school photos for TD Brown Co. in Cranston, RI.
A proud and devout mother and grandmother, she is survived by her husband, her children; Steven (Karen) Pajak of Cranston, RI, Ann (Al) Lewis of Merrimack, NH, and Susan (Chahid) Matta of Coventry, RI, six grandchildren; Stephanie and Ryan Pajak, Heather and Rachel Lewis, and Alexandra and Nicholas Matta. She was the sister of Irene St. Jean and the late Claire Archambault. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Her warmth and kindness will be missed by all.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 16th, at 9:00 am at Saints John and Paul Church, 341 South Main Street, Coventry, RI 02816. Visiting hours are Friday, May 15th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Helen's Life at the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI 02816. Tel. (401) 821-7306. Interment will be private.
