Tadeusz John Pajak

Pajak, Tadeusz John "Ted", 86, of Coventry RI died peacefully on Friday, September 30th, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Ted was born in Coventry, RI on April 22nd, 1930. He was the youngest son of Mary Sophia (Kolbusz) Fuzcek, and Louis Pajak. He was the loving husband of Helen B. (Duchesneau) Pajak with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage. 

A proud and devout father and grand-father, Ted is survived by his children: Steven (Karen) Pajak of Cranston, RI; Ann (Al) Lewis of Merrimack, NH; Susan (Chahid) Pajak-Matta of Coventry, RI; six grand children: Stephanie and Ryan Pajak, Heather and Rachel Lewis, and Alexandra and Nicholas Matta. Ted was predeceased by his six siblings: John and Stanley Fuzcek, Helen Skibinski, Matilda Neiratka, Jane Smith, and Victor Pajak. Fuczek is also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Ted was honorably discharged from the US Air Force after serving 4 years before his marriage to Helen in 1955. He was employed for 28 years at The Rhode Island Department of Corrections as a Lieutenant before his retirement. 

Besides spending time with his children and grandchildren, Ted enjoyed playing pool, woodworking, and water sports. He and his wife enjoyed many retirement years wintering in Florida along with taking numerous cruises and vacations. Ted could always make people smile and laugh, and would be ready to help anyone who needed it. His warmth, kindness, generosity, and sense-of-humor will be missed by all. 

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 7th at 11:00 AM at Saints John and Paul Church, 341 S Main St., Coventry, RI 02816.  Visiting hours are Friday, October 7th from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at the Gorton - Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI 02816, (401) 821-7306. Burial with military honors will take place at 1:00 PM at the Rhode Island Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 301 S County Trail, Exeter, RI  02822. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, www.riapda.org, and will be greatly appreciated.
